Andrew's Premiership Predictions

Arsenal v Tottenham
This is a crucial north london derby where both teams need to recover some kind of form. In this fixture the last time, Tottenham let a 2-0 lead slip to a 5-2 loss.
Arsenal might be on a down at the moment, but they still have Arsene Wenger as manager and they are playing at the Emirates, another factor is Spurs is really leaking defense wise.
They lost to both chelsea and Manchester City because of the defense, it is going to be a very physical game, but an intresting one, i will go for an Arsenal win, bse of Wenger's experience in these Derbies and the fact that their new talisman Jack Wilshire is back in the team.
Arsenal 3 Tottenham 1

Liverpool v Wigan
Liverpool has a thin squad, and it is even worse that most players were involved in friendlies, it may be a good thing for Wigan, who won at Anfield last season, but having said that, Wigan are very unpredictable, i mean, how do you explain, wining at spurs and then losing to West Brom.
Wigan is going to cause alot of problems for Liverpool today, that is why i will go for a conservative draw
Liverpool 1 Wigan 1

Manchester City v Aston Villa
I feel sorry for Paul Lambert's Villa after last week's dramatic loss to Manchester United and they meet United's city rivals who are still unbeaten in the league this season. City got a very important win at Spurs last weekend, which could have made them more confident after their European troubles.
Aston Villa just doesnt have the strength, experience and tactics to beat Manchester City, i actually think they will be reaped apart this saturday.
Manchester City 4 Aston Villa 0

Newcastle v Swansea
Swansea are not a very good away side having got only 4 points this season on their travels, they come to Newcastle which needs a win badly having been battered by West Ham. Newcastle cant seem to put a good run in place, they are a shadow of the team they had last season.
Newcastle 1 Swansea 1

QPR v Southampton
QPR Manager, Mark Hughes has to win this one to keep his job, the pressure on him is increasingly too much, but his southampton colleague, Nigel Adkins is also desparate for a win. I see QPR wining for the firsat time this season in this one simply because Hughes knows more of the premier league and they are playing at home
QPR 2 Southampton 0

Reading v Everton
Everton keeps suprising me every week, last week they were absolutely good against Sunderland, they deserve to be fourth in the premier league, they are travelling to reading, a side that needs a first league win desparately, it will be a tense game, but however much Everton is playing well at the moment, they wont get all three points
Reading 1 Everton 1

West Brom v Chelsea
Many think this could be a straight foward game for Chelsea but i foresee a huge test for the Blues, West Brom are in the top half of the table because they have been playing so well at home and Steve clarke was coach of the blues for a long time. Teams in the league have learnt to keep Oscar, Hazard and Mata out of the game and Chelsea is finished.
Liverpool did it last week and it worked, But Chealse will be too strong for the baggies
West Brom 0 Chelsea 1

Norwich v Manchester United
United look unstoppable and the come back at Villa was impressive, i think this is down to the fight for places in the striking department, but Norwich knows how to play against United, last season, Ryan Giggs had to score a late, late winner to secure victory and at Old trafford, though they lost 2-0, they still played well.
This will be a very intresting game and i will go for a high scoring draw.
Norwich 2 Manchester United 2

Andrew's Champions League Preview and Predictions

Shalke v Arsenal
High flying Shalke meet Arsenal at the back of a disappointing loss at manchester United, Shalke beat the gunners the last time they met at the Emirates, it is going to be a classical encounter considering the winner goes top of the group with 2 games to go.
The bad news for Arsenal is Shalke has been scoring an average of 2 goals per game this season. Klass-Jan Huntelaar and Jefferson Farfan are on fire, will the gunners; average defence cope? but the Germans also let in alot of goals which could be a potential opening for the gunners. Arsenal have all kinds of problems from injuries to confidence but they should be able to pick up this important win as they always win in Germany.
Prediction: 1 - 2

Manchester city v Ajax
Failure to beat the Dutch team tonight would all but eliminate the English champions at the group stage of the champions league for the second consecutive season.
Man city are missing Micah Richards and Maicon but should be too strong for Ajax who are expected to field the same team that beat city
Prediction: 2-0

Dynamo Kiev v Porto
Porto has the inform Colombian duo of James Rodriguez and Jackson Martinez as they look to beat Kiev for the second time in 2 weeks. Martinez has scored 12 goals in 13 games this season and has made their fans forget to quickly about Hulk. Kiev currently lie 3rd in the group but go into this game after a 2-0 win at the weekend. This will be a tight game and each team will score.
Prediction: 1-1

AC Milan v Malaga
Malaga have picked up maximum points so far without conceding a goal, what a record! but they are travelling to the San Siro to face the seven time winners. Milan is looking to recover some pride, so i think they will easily beat Malaga
Prediction: 3-1

Anderlecht v Zenit
This game has alot of impact on this group because both teams occupy the bottom places in Group c and know that a win for any would give a realistic chance of qualifying. Zenit has had 5 consecutive wins and Anderlecht has picked up just one point in this competition. On paper Zenit looks the stronger even without star striker Hulk.
Prediction: 0-2

Olympiakos v Montpellier
Olympiakos stole all 3 points in the dying minutes in France. the good news is Olympiakos has lost their last 4 games against French visitors. the French champions should get something out of this game because last time around they played very well against the Greek in France.
Prediction: 1-1

PSG v Dinamo Zagreb
PSG lost in shocking fashion at the weekend but will most definately beat the struggling Croatians. Dinamo must beat PSG to have hope of qualification. Carlo Anchelloti's men will definately eliminate them.
Prediction: 3-0

Real Madrid v Borrusia Dortmund.
Dortmund haven't won away from home in the champions league for nine years. this will not change at Real. Madrid have won their last seven champions league matches at home. Dortmund has also won only once in 8 visits to spain. Madrid has a fully fit team with top scorer Ronaldo raring to go and get revenge.
Prediction: 4-1

Andrew's Premier League Predictions

Man Utd v Arsenal
It is a good time for United to face the Gunners, they may have won an epic cup tie at Reading in mid week but are struggling to find their feet and their players look like they are lacking playing co-ordination.
Great Arsenal teams have mainly been based on quick passes finding players at the right position. United on the other hand won at Chelsea in the premier league and with a clear inexperienced team lost in the Capitol One cup to the Blues.
Surely, Sir Alex Ferguson has a different team line up for the Gunners. The spot light will be on former Arsenal Striker, Robin van Persie but it will be a very difficult game for him both physically and emotionally, that is why i think United's other quartet of Strikers, Rooney, Welbeck, Hanandez and Valencia could prove the difference. United are not very good defensively and their midfield has some unanswered questions, so Arsenal will have alot of possesion, but the fact that they are playing at Old Trafford
and the amazing United attack, Arsene wenger's team will lose narrowly.
Prediction: Man Utd. 2 Arsenal 1

Fulham v Everton
The difference between Fulham and Everton is Dimitar Berbatov and Craven Cottage. If Berbatov is fit, he will cause Everton alot of problems and the best part is Manager, Martin Jol knows how to get the best out of him. Craven cottage is some kind of fortress for Fulham this season, but Everton go into this game with alot of belief having got a well deserved draw against Liverpool last week. David Moyes, for me is one of the best managers in the premier league, his only problem is his thin squad with no clear cutting edge that the top teams have. This will be a tight defensive game and i will go for a hard earned draw.
Prediction: Fulham 1 Everton 1

Norwich v Stoke
Tony Pulis trying to get his Stoke team attack minded especially away from home is costing him alot of points, on the other hand Norwich have a good run going. In the last three games, they have had increadible games against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham.
Chris Hughton has put together a wonderful team with attack at the back of their minds, i also love the confidence he has instilled in players, Stoke too have confidence and belief and i believe they have game changing players, so i will go for a Stoke narrow away win.
Prediction: Norwich 0 Stoke 1

Sunderland v Aston Villa
This is the first time i have seen Martin Oniell look under pressure, his Sunderland side just cant seem to create chances or more score, can you believe only Stephen Fletcher has scored for the black cats in the premier league this season? That is a worrying situation for Sunderland.Aston Villa have their own problems and i think a manager who is undoubtedly under pressure is Paul Lambert. This is a huge game for both teams but i think sunderland will be too strong at the Stadium of light
Prediction: Sunderland 2 Aston Villa 0

Swansea v Chelsea
Swansea had a great game against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium and then beat Former Manager Brendan Rogers'Liverpool in the Capitol One Cup, they look like a team on the rise, Chelsea on the other hand have had an eventful week and focus has been taken away from Football, which unfortunately will reflect on this game. am actually backing the Welsh team to beat the Blues.
Prediction: Swansea 2 Chelsea 1

Tottenham v Wigan
Both teams were knocked out of the Capitol one cup in mid week and look to bounce back. Wigan suprised me last week against West Ham, played very good attacking football and looked like they were playing a final, but at White hart lane, Spurs will demolish them to get back to winning ways after a disappointing loss in the Capital one Cup.
Prediction: Tottenham 3 Wigan 0

West Ham v Man. City
This should be the most boring game of the weekend, City have one hell of a week ahead of them having to beat Ajax in a crucial champions league game. they have this at the back of their minds, Mancini may even try out a few changes and rest senior players, West Ham may take advantage of this but cant beat City, they were very poor against Wigan last week and Big Sam does need a response from his players, but normal Big Sam teams just love to play it out hard, so i will go for a boring draw.
Prediction: West Ham 0 Manchester City 0

QPR v Reading
Am still astonished at how Reading let a 4-0 lead slip to Arsenal in midweek!! anyway both these teams have not won in the premier league this season but QPR has been the better side, they were unlucky to leave with nothing at the Emirates last week, so their quality could be the difference and Mark Hughes knows this could be a turn corner for him, if he beats Reading, he will move foward, if he cant beat Reading then he will be in a crisis.
Prediction: QPR 2 Reading 0

Liverpool v Newcastle
This should be an intresting tie. Liverpool had a well deserved draw at Everton and then were poor against Swansea in the Capital One Cup, incosistency and lack of senior strikers is affecting this Liverpool team and Brendan Rodgers needs to do something in January and if Luis Suarez gets injured before that, it will be trouble for the reds. Newcastle also have problems of their own, Demba Ba is rated 50:50 for this game, if he plays he will cause Liverpool all kinds of problems
Newcastle have not travelled well, but Liverpool is also not that good at home, so an over draw will suit both teams.
Prediction: Liverpool 2 Newcastle 2

West Brom v Southampton
I believe this will be the most intresting game of the weekend, both teams are under pressure to deliver, West Brom started well but have lost twice due to injury time goals, they need to win and southampton just need to win a football game, actuall Nigel Adkins may be the first premier league manager to get the sack if he doesnt win a football match and very soon. Well he wont win this particular game at the hawthorns where the Baggies are really good.
Prediction: West Brom 1 Southampton 0
